Bradford Primary School is latest to join Co-op Academies Trust
Princeville Primary School has joined Co-op Academies Trust
Princeville Primary School has joined Co-op Academies Trust which runs 12 other academies in West Yorkshire, and from now on will be known as Co-op Academy Princeville.
Co-op Academies Trust is sponsored by one of the UK’s biggest businesses, the Co-op Group, and is based at their iconic headquarters in Manchester.
The school is the latest to join the rapidly growing Trust, after a £3.6m investment by the Co-op group in 2018.
Following the addition of the Trust’s first special schools, Co-op Academy Delius and Co-op Academy Southfield, in 2019 the trust became the most diverse multi-academy trust in the country.
The Trust also opened it’s Regional Community office in Bradford earlier in the year.
Ryan Lewis, Headteacher, said “I am excited about the next chapter for our school, colleagues, parents, and above all, our children. I firmly believe that having a large, ethical partner will really help our academy make a much bigger difference in the future for our community.”
Chris Tomlinson, CEO of the Co-op Academies Trust, said “We really welcome Princeville, Ryan and his team and we are delighted they are the 25th academy to join the trust. Co-op Academy Princeville is already well connected with our other schools in Bradford and they ethically match our ways of being perfectly”
Changes to uniform and signage will be phased in over the coming months and no parent or carer will be out of pocket by the change of name.
