Beckfield students featured on Newsround during Jamie’s Farm trip

Children at Co-op Academy Beckfield recently visited Jamie’s Farm in Skipton, North Yorkshire, for a residential trip.

Jamie’s Farm supports young people to improve their engagement in school, their attendance, mental health, encourage positive self-esteem and help students develop life-skills in a unique way.

Many of our academies have taken students to support their academic and social development, all whilst enjoying the outdoors and getting the unique experience of life on a farm!

Beckfield’s visit was a special one with the addition of BBC news reporters who captured snippets of their visit:

The Farm’s purpose:

“At Jamie’s Farm we believe in the innate potential and good in every young person, no matter their background or life experiences. Jamie’s Farm uniquely blends Farming, Family, Therapy and Legacy into a transformative 5-day residential programme with follow-up support.
