Liz presented with Co-op Academies Trust Recognition Award

Liz Rushton has worked at Co-op Academy Glebe for over 15 years.

“She always has a smile and is invaluable in all the many voluntary jobs she delivers. Her dedication and warming personality are radiant in school and she is truly valued.”

Kirsty Suleman, Headteacher

Liz Rushton has worked at Co-op Academy Glebe for over 15 years.

She is the first smile the pupils see on entry to breakfast club and supports the pupils at dinnertime too.

However, on a daily basis, she also supports the school on a voluntary basis, dedicating her own hours to support pupils in EYFS classes, organising orders on arrival, providing drinks for staff, and cleaning resources all through the dedication of her own time and commitment.

She supports pupils and the community on school trips, supported pupils in school during Covid, and dedicates many days in holiday periods to support everyone in school.

In recognition of Liz’s dedication and support to the academy, she was presented with the Co-op Academies Recognition Award by CEO of the Trust Chris Tomlinson – much to the delight of all of her colleagues.

Liz said: “What a wonderful way to start the day off with. Bursting with love to all the amazing wonderful people I work with. I’ve been speechless most of the day.”
